Rules Changes

  • Hello Eastmile players,

All changes and reminders to the Rules can be found in this thread.

    :eastmile: Eastmile.org

  • Hello Eastmile community

I would like to clarify some  Game Rules  from which some players do not yet seem to know at all:

    • Only ONE connected account is allowed per person. You can have secondary accounts (Sands or warehouse accounts) but never more than one account connected simultaneously. In the event that one of a player's accounts receives a permanent ban, all of the user's accounts will be banned simultaneously.
    • NOTE: You will not be allowed to play with more than ONE ACCOUNT at the same time, this means banning any account from using sandboxie/alters.
    • If two or more accounts share a network or connection (playing under the same IP), please notify the game team through the ticket system, to avoid unnecessary penalties (It may happen that someone else playing under your same connection receives a permanent ban and your account is then sanctioned as a multi-account of the previous one).
    • IP sharing and post-sanction connection change notifications will not be taken into account if you share IP with someone or connect in different locations, you'll need to notify them as soon as possible to avoid exposure to sanctions.

This means that you should keep in mind that each person who shares a connection at some point must notify them using the Eastmile Support ticket system with the following template:

    • Nicks of the characters who share IP:
    • Reason why IP is shared (e.g. siblings, partner, etc.):

WE MUST note that in the event of any illegal or suspicious activity there may be cases of permanent IP blockages by the team, if you are playing on networks with other players who may commit some illegality and there is an IP block you will be affected as well, that's why it's vitally important that the team is always told about connecting with other players, or connecting to the game from different locations to avoid unnecessary permanent blockages and having to undertake a claim process that can be long by having to force the team to review all the information and yourself see you in need of proving that you're a different person who has had to be punished for this caliber.

  • Hello Eastmile Community,

In this new thread, we want to discuss that there will be a slight change to the game rules in terms of language, as well as a couple of new sections being added to the Discord rules. To emphasize, in addition to mentioning the changes in the rules, we want to explain that from now on it will be possible to speak in any language within the game, except on the speakers, which will be exclusively in English. This means that you will be free to speak in any language; HOWEVER, to avoid any case of discrimination, we recommend that you speak in a language that you master and that everyone can understand.

In addition to all this, we want to make it clear that we will try to support the game in any language, but at the moment we can only provide it fluently in Spanish and English. The Game Team has decided to open an extraordinary application for people who want to be a Game Master and want to help us support any language, that is why if you have been previously rejected in any application.... IT'S YOUR TIME.

We recommend being completely honest and making your best application as it will be your letter of introduction to the Game Team, who will be in charge of seeing if you should be on the Eastmile Team or not. To know more about this, you should read carefully the following thread: Game Master Applications [OPEN]

We are looking for players who want to be part of the game team with the following languages:

  • Dear Community,

The game team of Eastmile we were changing some rules on the Game. It is likely that these changes will not finish. The next change will reduce the type of punishments and add a new rule.

With this change, we want make punishment more often and deal easily with people who really are not willing to change their attitude.

We hope this change will be helpful for the community and do not use it to bother the other users or teamlers.

    Best Regards,

  • Dear Community,

The Game Team of Eastmile we were changing some rules on the game:

    CHANGES OF GAME RULES

    Section Nickname paragraph 4º:

    Before:

    • The aditions to the nicknames like Partner, TESTER, MOD, GM, GA, CM, PM, DEV tags aren't allowed.

    After:

    • The aditions to the nicknames like TAF, AF, CC, TESTER, DT, TGM, GM, SGM, GA, TM, CM, PM and DEV tags aren't allowed.

Section Behavior during trade paragraph 11º:

    After:

    • Trading with items from the donation system (Eastmall) isn't permitted, except for legal trade through exchange for gold (it isn't permitted to request/offer EastCoins or PremiumCoins in exchange for gold or services).

    Section Game behavior paragraph 1º:

    Before:

    • Isn't allowed to level up in any way without being present, and without using the character yourself. You'll be sancionated the first time with a temporary ban, as it cannot be guaranteed that monsters will not attack and disturb other players: For example, place your pet/partner in places where they can get free experience while you are not playing Eastmile. (e.g. Pii Zone).

    After:

    • Deleted rule.

    Section Cheating paragraph 6º:

    Before:

    • Use vehicle in the IceBreak with the only objective of disturbing or interrupting the game to the rest of the players.

    After:

    • Deleted rule.

Section Contact with Eastmile Team paragraph 1º:

    Before:

Characters who don't use these abbreviations or use modified abbreviations aren't part of the Team. Additionally, their nick, and text when they chat, either publicly or privately, will be displayed in a distinctive color, and not like the rest of the players.

    After:

    • Team members have the following abbreviations before their name in the game: [TAF], [AF], [CC], [DT], [TGM], [GM], [SGM], [GA], [TM], [CM], [DEV], [PM]. Additionally, their nick, and text when they chat, either publicly or privately, will be displayed in a distinctive color, and not like the rest of the players.

  • Section Behavior during trade paragraph 11º:

    Before:

Trading with items from the donation system (Eastmall) isn't permitted, except for legal trade through exchange for gold (it isn't permitted to request/offer EastCoins in exchange for gold or services).

    After:

Trading with items from the donation system (Eastmall) isn't permitted, except for legal trade through exchange for gold (it isn't permitted to request/offer EastCoins or PremiumCoins in exchange for gold or services).

We've heard concerns about this rule, so we've been forced to change it for better understanding. In this case, the best explained rule is the following:

    Before:

    • Trading with items from the donation system (Eastmall) isn't permitted, except for legal trade through exchange for gold (it isn't permitted to request/offer EastCoins in exchange for gold or services).

    After:

    • We would like to advise our playerbase not to donate through accounts that they don't own. Our team won't take blame for any scam, loss or problem this may cause.
  • Dear Community,

After the last patch [24/06/2023] New PvP Content: 1v1 Rankeds - PvP Daily Events changes and more we have had some cases where it has not been possible to understand the General Game Rules , more specifically in the Cheating section of dirty game.

    62wzqrgd25.png

"Dirty game" - those actions that ruin or interfere in any way with other players' play aren't allowed and will be severely sancionated, for example:

    • Carrying monsters to another area to kill or annoy other players.
    • Deliberately stealing deaths or monsters from other players.
    • Deliberately move or hide monsters in another area of the map to annoy or complicate the playability of other players.
    • Throw items to the ground that complicate movement on a map or to cause another player's screen to be blocked directly.
    • Intentionally interfering with activities such as: walking through a portal, talking to an NPC, shopping in a store, walking on a map, etc.
    • Reveal the position of a player in Glacernon so that the other faction will deliberately kill him.
    • Other: Any situation that may disturb or make the game difficult for other people or that is considered dirty game by the Team.
    • It's up to the team to determine which behaviors can be considered dirty game. The Team reserves the right to decide, in each case, whether or not the actions taken are penalized after studying each one individually, as well as who is involved in it.

We will add the following examples:

    Quote
    • Register in classifications such as 1vs1 (rankeds) and/or other classifications and let yourself win, regardless of whether it is to generate benefit for your opponent or for yourself.
    • Go to a PvP map like Jötunheim's Realm and/or others to die for them and let the opposing team and/or side win.

It must be clarified that even adding these points that are clearly concrete examples, it was already taken into account as foul play. Therefore, any player who has breached this rule prior to this section update can be penalized.

    Best Regards,

    :eastmile: Eastmile.org

  • Dear Community,

Due to changes in the latest patch, a new rule has been added to the Cheating section of Foul Play.

"Foul Play" - those actions that ruin or interfere in any way with other players' play aren't allowed and will be severely sancionated, for example:

    • Carrying monsters to another area to kill or annoy other players.
    • Deliberately stealing deaths or monsters from other players.
    • Deliberately move or hide monsters in another area of the map to annoy or complicate the playability of other players.
    • Throw items to the ground that complicate movement on a map or to cause another player's screen to be blocked directly.
    • Intentionally interfering with activities such as: walking through a portal, talking to an NPC, shopping in a store, walking on a map, etc.
    • Reveal the position of a player in Glacernon so that the other faction will deliberately kill him.
    • Other: Any situation that may disturb or make the game difficult for other people or that is considered Foul Play by the Team.
    • It's up to the team to determine which behaviors can be considered Foul Play. The Team reserves the right to decide, in each case, whether or not the actions taken are penalized after studying each one individually, as well as who is involved in it.
    • Activities that are limited to a number of times per day per account may only be completed with one account of the same person, taking advantage of such activities by doing so with more than one account is strictly prohibited and will result in a punishment.

We will add the following rule:

    Quote
    • Activities that are limited to a number of times per day per account may only be completed with one account of the same person, taking advantage of such activities by doing so with more than one account is strictly prohibited and will result in a punishment.

It should be clarified that the activities that are limited per account is due to the balance of server earnings that a player must be able to obtain, any player who tries to obtain using more than one account those rewards would be getting something that does not correspond to him and seriously harming the entire community, so that any player who abuses the system to get more than what corresponds to him will be severely punished and may permanently lose all his accounts.

  • Hello Eastmile community

From now on, AFK raiding will be prohibited. That doesn't matter that players cannot leave the game for a short amount of time, but staying AFK for long periods of time won't be allowed and will be punished. If you consider that you may need to leave for a long time you must leave the raid until you're back. Doing otherwise may end up in a punishment for you or the raid leader.

Some time ago, the rule that prohibited afk play was removed to allow players to sell exp. For raids it meant that, as long as the user was paying back the raid leader, they could go afk.

But we've been taking a peek at how abusive this practice has become, it can reduce massively the amount of time required to upgrade certain items and end up in a noticeable advantage over players that acquire them normally. It can be even compared to alter abuse, a way of playing that is not endorsed by Eastmile's team. We've always tried to balance the game in a way that makes this unnecessary and, because of this, we're forced to endorse this new rule to keep the game progression as intended, a new rule has been added to the Game behavior section, we will add the following rule:

    Quote
    • AFK raiding is strictly prohibited. That doesn't matter that players cannot leave the game for a short amount of time, but staying AFK for long periods of time is not allowed and will be punished. If you consider that you may need to leave for a long time you must leave the raid until you're back. Doing otherwise may end up in a punishment for you or the raid leader.

If you want to report this breach of the rules, you must follow the following template:

  • Hello Eastmile community,

The Game Team has decided to change these rules in the "Item's Refund" section:

    37xsj35301.png

    • Items that're lost due to a trading fraud will only be restored in situations where the player has been responsible to the trade, has taken the proper precautions (asking for deposits, making sure the deal is fair, etc.) and yet the other player hasn't fulfilled all, or part, of the agreement. Necessary evidence (screenshots and/or unedited videos) will also be required to prove the breach.
    • It isn't the responsibility of the Team to reimburse items.
    • Items will only be returned if:
      • These were lost due to a bug or error in the game and weren't specifically caused by the player.
      • If you didn't receive items from EastMall.
      • If you lost or deleted by accident a main mission object without which it's impossible to finish it.

From now on you will find the following in the "Item's Refund" section:

    37xsj35301.png

    • Items that're lost due to a trading fraud will only be restored in situations where the player has been responsible to the trade, has taken the proper precautions (asking for deposits, making sure the deal is fair, etc.) and yet the other player hasn't fulfilled all, or part, of the agreement. Necessary evidence (screenshots and/or unedited videos) will also be required to prove the breach.
    • If the claimant has not bothered to take precautions, has taken photos of the deal and it can be demonstrated in-game, the Team will not accept the claim.
    • In case of fraud in the exchange or breach of the deal the Team will only be able to recover the gold if the thief still has it or collaborates to recover it for a period of 3 months, otherwise the Team will not be responsable for recovering non-existent gold.
    • We strongly recommend taking precautions when making deals to ensure that they are honoured, avoiding leaving too large amounts of gold, items, etc., asking for deposits, agreeing on short deadlines to return all or part of the deal, etc.
    • If a player is involved in several deals at the same time or lends significant amounts of gold or items, the Team is not obligated to be responsible for the players' compliance with deadlines and deals, it is the player's responsibility to make fair and realistic deals and to make sure as far as possible that the other party can be trusted, in similar situations the Team may outright refuse to support the complainant.
    • Do not accept or make deals that you are not sure the other player can keep his or her side of the bargain or that are unduly abusive or unfair.
    • In some very special cases the Team reserves the right to accept a return of items if the Team considers it appropriate and give the player a chance to recover it if it was an item of great value, but again remember that we have no obligation to do so and will always be at the discretion of the Team, this is a very unique situation and should not be raised as a common situation, if this possibility would mean losing the option to recover something in the future, players have no right to claim or demand the return of items that have been lost due to human error or external to a server error or problem.
    • The team reserves the right of admission and development of claims based on the history and behavior of all players involved both before and during the process.

  • Hello Eastmile community,

We have updated all of our General Game Rules for several reasons, including:

    • Improvements to the rules to make them clearer or easier to understand.
    • Improvements in the way we manage and handle our support.
